John and Beth Barnes help with Pastoral Care and Senior Adults ministries at House of Grace.  The church was pleased to extend a “welcome home” greeting to the Barnes when they arrived in 2015.  House of Grace, formerly known as First Assembly, was home for John and Beth in the early 70’s during the first few years of their marriage.  They left to pastor a nearby church and then returned to First Assembly as Youth Pastors for one year before leaving again to serve other churches of Tennessee as pastor and youth pastor for approximately 35 years. 

John is also a Licensed Clinical Chaplain and has used his training in the healthcare industry to help families and individuals cope with life-changing situations that come with declining health.

John and Beth have two grown children and two grandchildren.  They both enjoy golf, travel, and time with family.
